Orange Pi 6: A Compact Board Ready for Real Edge AI Work

Looking for a single-board computer that can handle on-device AI, robotics, industrial control, or a capable home server in a small footprint? The Orange Pi 6 is worth considering.
At its heart is the CiXin P1 (CIX CD8180) processor — a 12-core 64-bit CPU paired with a dedicated NPU delivering 28.8 TOPS. Together with the integrated GPU, the board reaches up to 45 TOPS of total AI performance. This combination allows it to run a wide range of on-device AI models, including generative AI workloads, efficiently at the edge.
The GPU supports 8K video decoding and hardware ray tracing, which is useful for visualization work, industrial graphics, or lighter graphics-intensive tasks.
